How is the SudoPole different from other Seattle event sites?

It's visual. We show you the posters of all sorts of Seattle events and let their style and feel grab your attention, just like it happens in the real world.  This site is a fresh alternative to browsing newspapers or randomly finding an event via word of mouth. Each time you visit, the SudoPole homepage displays a broad range of Seattle events that are happening that day. The events can range from daytime events such as garage sales or trade shows, to nightlife events such as comedy shows or live Seattle music.

How do I find Seattle events that are happening in the future?

If you are the plan ahead type, select the desired date by clicking on it on the calendar in the upper right hand corner. 

How do "Categories" work?

Eventually when there are more event postings, visitors will be able to filter their results by category.

How do I get more information on an event?

Once you have found an event poster that interests you, click on the flyer for more details. You will be directed to a page that displays all the details. If that's not enough, you can contact the poster by clicking on their name. The event owner may also include a link that to their website that has more information about their event.

How often is the SudoPole updated?
The SudoPole is automatically updated as new postings are submitted. The SudoPole is refreshed at midnight to display the next day's events. You can visit every day and never get bored.  

How do I add my event to the SudoPole?

Click "Add to the Pole" to submit your event flyer. We don't ask for unnecessary information, therefore, almost all fields are required.

How far in advance should I post my event?

You should try to post your event as early as possible. It's a "first come, first served" system, so the sooner you post the better positioning you get. Also, it gives visitors a chance to find your event sooner for planning purposes.

What is the SudoPole going to do with my email address?
To prevent fraudulent postings, you are required to enter an email address for verification purposes. Your email address will not be published or available to the public unless you choose to include it under "Event Description".  We do not solicit, share, or spam your email address.

How will visitors contact me?

Rather than publishing your email address, visitors are able to email you via an online email form. Their email is automatically sent to our servers and redirected to the email address you provided. The visitor never sees your email address unless you choose to reply to their email.

I have an event to post, but no "flyer". Can I still post my event?
Yes you can, but you will be required to upload an image that best represents your event. We encourage flyer images, but any image will do. Choose something that is relevant to your event. 

How can I turn my image or photo into a flyer?

You can turn any image into a flyer by typing text right onto the image using any image editing program. You may have installed an photo editing program with your printer or camera software. Also, most computers come with a photo editing program such as Microsoft Paint.  Start > All Programs> Accessories> Paint

What file format does your image upload support?   

You may upload almost any image file format including .jpg, .gif, .png. 

PDF files are not images and therefore PDF files are NOT SUPPORTED. You will need to convert your file to an image file or choose a different image.

How big can my image be?   

You can upload any image size, but your image will be automatically resized for display on the main pole.
